Villages of Mamadysh region of Tatarstan connected to 4G

MegaFon Telecommunication Company has launched fourth-generation communication facilities in the villages of Verkhnyaya Oshma and Nizhnyaya Oshma. The stable signal and Internet at an average speed of 20 Mbps will help residents of settlements stay connected and use the necessary digital services. About 1.5 thousand people live in settlements with a 300-year history. Schools, cultural, sports and medical facilities operate here, and one of the oldest mosques of the republic has been preserved in its original appearance in Nizhnyaya Oshma. Engineers installed new telecom equipment with LTE support, which provides coverage for the entire territory of the villages.

Prior to the construction of the mobile infrastructure, the operator's base station was located in the regional centre of the city of Mamadysh - at a distance of 8 and 12 kilometers, respectively.
