Tatarstan residents begin to receive half of calls from spammers

The results of the study showed that in the first five months of 2023 the number of spam calls to MTS subscribers more than halved compared to the same period in 2022 and 1.8 times compared to the period from January to May 2021.

The number of spam calls to MTS subscribers has significantly decreased in the current year. From January to May, a total of 123 million spam calls were recorded, while during the same period of 2022 - 295 million calls, and in January-May 2021 - 219 million calls.

In their research, analysts of Future Crew MTS RED explain this trend by increasing the operator’s efforts to block unwanted calls to subscribers and increasing demand for premium subscription ecosystem that provides an increased level of protection against such calls.
