Useful IT holidays with Yandex: an educational quest for children

The interactive quest "Basics of Internet Security" consists of theory and practical tasks with the analysis of specific life situations: phishing links, attempted theft of money or social media accounts, unwanted communication, fake news and content not intended for children. Schoolchildren will learn how to create a secure password and identify a phishing email, which links should not be followed, and which offers from strangers should not be accepted.

The quest is recommended for children from 8, but it will be useful for younger children if they can read, write and actively use the Internet. You can complete the quest youself, but it is better to do it with a parent or teacher who can explain new words and unfamiliar situations. Authorization is not required to complete the quest. It is enough to follow the link at a convenient time and from any device and start completing tasks. Quest takes about 20 minutes. Each student will receive a free checklist for secure Internet use after passing.
