June 22 is the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow in our country - the day of the beginning of the World War II, which took the lives of more than 26 million Soviet people.
On June 22, in memory of this tragic event, all-Russian campaigns “Candle of Memory” and “Minute of Silence” are held in our country as a reminder to the world about the aggression against our country, about the unbending will and courage of our multinational people, who did not submit to fascism and gave the world victory in World War II. On the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, June 22, from 9.00 p.m. till 11.00 p.m., the branch of the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network of Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Center of Tatarstan will turn on a red backlight on the Kazan TV tower, symbolizing the candle flame.
