On April 12, 1961, the USSR astronaut Yury Alekseevich Gagarin made the world’s first manned flight into outer space.
In honor of this event, on the Cosmonautics Day, the branch of the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network of Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Center of Tatarstan will turn on the thematic illumination of the Kazan TV tower - launch of the first manned spacecraft «Vostok» against the background of the starry sky. A dynamic light show will run from 7 p.m. till 11 p.m.
The thematic lighting will also be turned on at TV towers in Chelyabinsk, Perm, Ulan-Ude, Nizhny Novgorod, Voronezh, Saratov, Yakutsk, Rostov-on-Don, Tambov, Kyzyl, Saransk, Nalchik, Samara, Yaroslavl and other cities.
