Russia's first Interuniversity Cyber Threat Countermeasures Centre is ready to launch

23 March 2023, Thursday

The technical equipment of the Interuniversity Cyber Threat Countermeasures Centre (MSSP SOC), based on the Consortium of Flagship Universities of Tatarstan, has been completed.

MSSP SOC was established on the basis of four universities: Kazan National Research Technical University named after Tupolev (KAI), Kazan Federal University (KFU), Kazan State Power Engineering University (KSEU) and Innopolis University.

Innostage, with the support of its technology partners (Positive Technologies and CyberOK), has provided MSSP SOC with advanced solutions for incident monitoring and response. The main task of Interuniversity SOC is to increase the level of information security of Russian universities at the federal and regional levels. Students of educational institutions will be responsible for monitoring information security incidents, and teachers and employees of the information technology departments of universities will be responsible for reacting and monitoring their activities. Innostage specialists will be able to virtually connect to the center in case of emergency.

An agreement on the creation of the first Russian Interuniversity Cybersecurity Services Provider was signed on the sidelines Kazan Digital Week 2022.
