Soviet district of Kazan city is the leading in regional contest “IT champion”

235 769 Tatarstan pupils are taking part in regional contest “IT champion”. Pupils from Soviet district of Kazan city, Aktanysh, Arsk, Tyulyachi, Sabinsky regions and Naberezhnye Chelny are in top 10. Awarding of winners of the second round will be held in September.
First IT champions were announced in June at a solemn ceremony in Kazan IT park. Pupils from all Kazan municipalities take part in the contest.
Three most active pupils from every municipality who got maximum scores for teaching adults to work on the Portal of state services become winners.
During summer holidays pupils also prepare creative projects in nomination “Development of the Portal of state and municipal services” where they can reveal their creative ideas, programming design and skills, offer new ideas to develop electronic services.
Winners will be chosen in five categories: “Best banner or logo for electronic services”, “Best video”, “Best presentation”, “Android mobile application”, “Internet application”. By results of Internet poll iPad-mini will be presented to developers of three best projects in each nomination.

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
Mobile Telecommunication Systems Company reported on its activities in Tatarstan for the year 2025 during a weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
