5th Summer School of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Innopolis University to be held in Kazan

Summer school on high performance computing and its application in modern biology and medicine will be held on September 8-14. The event is organized by Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and Innopolis University, the first IT University in Russia. Lectures on urgent problems in modern biology and biotechnologies, applications in medical tasks and modern mathematical models will be delivered during the event.
Main objectives of the school are:
• To form general knowledge about urgent medical and biological problems that require use of high performance computing technologies;
• Give information about basic models of mathematical biology and solutions of equations
• Give main knowledge about paralleling of algorithms and solution of equations of basic models using complexes of different architecture
• Develop skills of work using MPI and CUDA
One of invited lectures is Professor of University of Rome Tor Vergata and Director at BioLink Institute Paolo Di Nardo.
About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
Mobile Telecommunication Systems Company reported on its activities in Tatarstan for the year 2025 during a weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
