This year children's TV broadcasting in Russia is celebrating its 60th anniversary. The date of its birth is January 18, 1963, when Home edition programmes for children in the Central television was established.
Today, the most popular children's and youth channel is Karusel, which broadcasts on the eighth channel. According to the results of three quarters of 2022, it ranked 12th in the Top Channels by audience share. Karusel is included in 20 channels of digital terrestrial television, which are broadcast from 87 Russian television and radio network transmitting stations in Tatarstan.
