Tatarstan Government launches programme on increasing computer literacy of population

By initiative of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov all Tatarstan citizens, members of Tatarstan Government and Cabinet of Ministers will be able to undergo training “Solo on keyboard” (developed by a psychologist and journalist, teacher of Lomonosov Moscow State University School of Journalism Vladimir Shakhidzhanyan).
The 10-finger typing method will enable create electronic documents faster, keep up correspondence more efficiently and spend less time on making different references and reports. This method also helps taking care of eyesight. Network versions are also available for government organizations on the website solo.tatarstan.ru.
About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
Mobile Telecommunication Systems Company reported on its activities in Tatarstan for the year 2025 during a weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
