Students of International Competence Centre – the Kazan Technical College of Information Technologies and Communication visit the Kazan Logistics Postal Center
On February 9, students of group 311 of "Postal service" department accompanied by the teacher Elvira Bagautdinova, together with the «Tatarstan Post Office» training centre visited Kazan Logistics Postal Center. Before the start of the educational tour held by the head of the center Svetlana Korshunova, Deputy Director for personnel and social issues of the Tatarstan Post Office Natalia Albutova delivered a welcoming speech to future specialists. The logistics centre was built in 2016 and launched to process domestic Russian post in 2017. At the beginning of 2018, the Kazan Logistics Postal Center together with the Federal Customs Service of Russia organized a place of international mail exchange, in which international mail is processed.
The logistics centre is located on the territory of Kazan International Airport. This location allows the unloading of postal items from the aircraft arriving directly to the logistics center, which significantly reduces the time for their transportation. During the tour, students of the Kazan Technical College got acquainted with the site for the provision of fulfillment services (preparation of orders for shipment) for online trading operators, the place of international mail exchange, an automated sorting center, and the EMS express mail processing area. They learned about the early use of a bonded warehouse based on a logistics postal center. We visited the workshops for processing parcels, processing written correspondence, processing priority mail, saw the process of unloading and loading postal items with vehicles. After the tour, the students shared their impressions about the variety of services provided and the innovative solutions used in the center.
