The annual programme of allocating grants from Tatarstan Government for training in information technology for first-year students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems of Kazan Federal University continues. In 2022, 30 people received grants for a total of 5 million roubles.
Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization allocates grants for training in the information technology. The grant is provided in accordance with the state programme of the republic "Digital Tatarstan", Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic dated August 14, 2015 No. 598 "On Approval of the Order for Providing Grants for Education in Information Technology". Students of 1-4 full-time training courses of the Institute of Information Technologies and Intelligent Systems of KFU, studying in the direction of "Software Engineering" in the profile "Modern Software Development" can apply for a grant.
The grant system is aimed at supporting talented IT-profile students, retention of the best IT-personnel in the republic, as well as development of the IT-industry of the region as a whole within the regional project «Personnel for digital economy» of the national program «Digital Economy of the Russian Federation».
