Car purchase and sale e-service launched in Russia

Service for car owners is available at the State Services Portal. Now a car sales contract can be concluded completely online, while it will have the same legal significance as signed on paper.

Service benefits:

• An online transaction saves time and efforts of citizens: all the data of the parties is already pre-filled.

• No need to search for and download a sales template - a standard document is already integrated into the service.

• The transaction can be made without a face-to-face meeting between the seller and the buyer.

• During the transaction, the service automatically checks whether restrictions are imposed on the car, whether it is wanted or pledged.

• Filling in and signing the contract by both parties takes no more than 10 minutes.

Mandatory conditions for using the service

• The seller and the buyer should be over 18 and have verified accounts on the State Services Portal of the Russian Federation.

• Both parties to the transaction should have the State Key application installed on their phones.
