Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov presents awards to IT champions

The first awarding ceremony for IT champions – winners of the first round of the republican contest “The most active pupil” was held on June 1 in Kazan IT park.
The contest was organized by Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communication and Ministry of Education and Science. 153 IT champions received iPads. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov presented iPads to 10 most active pupils and congratulated everyone on International Children’s Day.
Ildar Khalikov continued that the contest demonstrated activity of pupils and met expectations put on the project “Electronic education in the Republic of Tatarstan”.
The economic effect from using electronic services in Tatarstan was estimated at 1,5 billion rubles. Tatarstan citizens saved 850 thousand hours monthly by using electronic services.
Roman Shaikhutdinov thanked partners, Ak Bars Bank and OAO “Megafon”, who helped to organize the contest.

About 2,000 students of the Institute of Information Technology and Intelligent Systems (IITS) at Kazan Federal University (KFU) received scholarships for studies in “Software Engineering” with a focus on “Modern Software Development.” Annually, more than 22.6 million roubles are allocated from the regional budget for this purpose under the “Personnel for the Digital Economy” regional project.
To date, Yandex delivery robots began operating in the Novo-Savinovsky and Sovetsky districts of Kazan. On December 2025, robot delivery was firstly introduced in the Vakhitovsky district of the city.
The implementation of robot delivery is aimed at making everyday life more comfortable for residents through the use of advanced technology. Users will be able to track the movement of the courier robot on a map directly within the app, ensuring transparency and convenience. Since robots do not require breaks or rest periods, delivery services will operate reliably around the clock.
Mobile Telecommunication Systems Company reported on its activities in Tatarstan for the year 2025 during a weekly meeting at Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization.
Director of the MTS branch in Tatarstan Marat Kabanov outlined key areas of work in 2025 and the achieved results.
On March 27, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ilya Nachvyn held a meeting with Director General of "Info-Obereg" Vladimir Dorofeev.
Such meetings between the minister and representatives of the IT community are held on Fridays in an open dialogue format. These personal meetings provide an opportunity for companies to share their experiences, discuss their projects and seek support.
