Winners of the All-Russian contest “Digital Breakthrough 2021” announced

On December 6, the final of the third season of the All-Russian Contest «Digital Breakthrough - 2021» - the flagship project of the presidential platform «Russia - Land of Opportunities» ended. 

As many as 251 teams from all over Russia competed in the final, which took place in Innopolis and 14 regional IT hubs on December 2-4, as well as in an online format. Thirty-six best teams shared a prize fund amounting to 24 million roubles. Also, 7 grants from partners amounting to over two million roubles in total were awarded. Based on the results of the final hackathon, 232 solutions were developed for the proposed 12 case tasks.

The First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of Russia Sergey Kirienko greeted the participants of the contest.

He said that the client companies set cases on the hackaton that their full-time programmers could solve for a year, and now they are surprised and admired for what they can do in 48 hours. The finalists of the contest proved that nothing is impossible, and they are capable of solving the most difficult problems.

The student team of Innopolis University "They know what they are doing" ranked first and received a prize of one million roubles! The team members, in a case from RosBusinessConsulting, a group of companies and one of Russia’s largest multimedia holdings, developed a machine learning-based solution for transcription of video reports into texts, collected the best analytics, worked out the tools in detail and created an excellent working prototype. The team also received a grant amounting to 500,000 roubles from Innopolis University.

Another team Fraction from Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny ranked second in the case «Sotskazna» (Social Treasury) from VTB bank and received a prize amounting to 600,000 roubles! The team proposed a solution to engage clients in online banking, which includes, for example, a benefit micro-service with a social benefit calculator.

Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalizaion presented the task of developing services for identifying garbage on the roads and fullness of garbage cans. Power Rangers DS, UNI and Coffee Science became the winners of the case. 

For the general partner of the contest, Rosatom Company, the finalists developed a tool for automated detection of accidents on the oil pipelines. «Digital Coyote», «Team UI» and Educatory became the winners.
