The Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting TV tower in Kazan to turn on festive lighting on World Television Day

November 21st is World Television Day, established by the United Nations in 1996 to highlight the role of television in the modern world.

In the 20th century the development of television has gone a long way - from static «pictures» to usual dynamic images, from black and white - to color, from one - two programmes broadcasting only a few hours a day, to full 24-hour broadcasting. The real television revolution of the 21st century was the transition from analogue to modern digital television broadcasting. On November 21, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in honor of World Television Day, branch of the Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network “Radio-television broadcasting centre of Tatarstan” will turn on the architectural and artistic lighting on TV tower in Kazan.
