Since October 11, Tatarstan has introduced QR codes confirming vaccination or coronavirus disease in the past 6 months, as well as mandatory isolation for residents over 65 who have not been vaccinated against COVID-19.
A QR code is a digital barcode that can be recognized by any smartphone camera. It contains information that a person was vaccinated or had a coronavirus, indicating the date of this event. The code is valid for the sick person within six months from the date of recovery. After 6 months, the document becomes invalid.
Since the introduction of QR codes on October 11, as many as 82 324 Tatarstan citizens have already confirmed their data accounts on the State Services Portal. Thus, currently 2,582,324 residents of the republic have confirmed data accounts on the federal portal.
