Students from Tatarstan to represent Russia at the World Programming Championship

On October 1, for the first time in its history, Moscow will host one of the most prestigious competitions in IT sphere – the Final of the International Student Championship in Sports Programming ICPC.

ICPC is the oldest IT team competition on the planet, held annually since 1977. During the 44 years of its existence, over 300,000 programmers took part in it, including co-founders and leading developers of world IT companies (from Google and Microsoft to Yandex and Telegram). Out the nearly 60,000 participants in the qualifying round of the current season, only about 1 per cent of the best participants reached the Finals.

Russians are absolute leaders of the championship medal with 75 medals have led a unique series of victories in the Final for several years.

This year, among the Russian finalists who have passed the qualifying competitions, there are also students from Kazan Federal University and Innopolis University. In total, over 100 teams representing more than 40 countries will meet in the final.
