The advanced training programme "Digital technologies in teaching major disciplines" of the Support Educational Centre of the Russian IT university is carried out in two directions: the role of a methodologist and the role of a teacher.

In addition to general knowledge of IT technologies in education, participants choose subject modules that provide in-depth knowledge of digital components in 11 priority sectors of the economy: healthcare, education, agriculture, construction, manufacturing, mining, urban economy, energy infrastructure, transport infrastructure, financial services and information technology.

By the end of the year, Innopolis University will have trained 16,000 people, and by 2024 the total number of students will reach 80,000 people. This is about a third of the total number of teaching staff in universities and colleges in the country. According to the estimates of the Russian IT university, teachers trained at the Reference Educational and the Unified Methodological Centres will be able to teach digital competencies to over one million students in broad discipline areas.
