The IT industry is among the TOP prestigious areas of employment

Headhunter named the most prestigious areas of employment according to the Russian citizens. As many as 48 per cent of Russian applicants consider work in the oil and gas industry the most prestigious one. The second most prestigious one was the IT industry, chosen by 47 per cent of the respondents.

The information technology industry ranked first among young applicants aged 18 to 24 years (57 per cent), and for respondents from Moscow (52 per cent), St. Petersburg (49 per cent), North-West and Central Federal districts (44 per cent and 45 per cent, respectively).
