Innopolis University creates the first shock-resistant drone in Russia

The authors of the innovative project, specialists of the National Technological Initiative Competence Centre in the direction of "Technologies of Robotics and Mechatronics Components", called the development Tensodrone. It is capable of withstanding a 20-metre drop and remaining operational after impact.

The Innopolis University’s newest shock-resistant drone is a tensegreti model used in bridge-building architecture.

The robot looks like a skeleton structure that uses the interactions of compression rods and tensile cables.
