Alexander Borisov becomes the winner of the open competition for the post of IT Park Director

Alexander Borisov was invited to become the head of the Kazan Technopark. Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization and Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications Ayrat Khayrullin announced the name of a new director.

A native of Krasnoyarsk, a graduate of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and the University of Innopolis, Borisov is well acquainted with the activities of the IT park. For three years (2014-2017), he coordinated the start-up projects of the Chelny Business Incubator. During this time, he has worked with over 1,000 start-up companies, and also participated in the creation of over 30 projects.

Before participating in the contest for the post of IT-park director, for more than two years, he headed the Innopolis technology competence centre of IT X5 Retail Group, which creates innovative software solutions for retail stores. In this post, Borisov took an active part in the digital transformation of the company and its transfer to the AGILE approach. He has a great experience in the project and product management, in the optimization of business processes, in investment analysis, etc.

In his strategy for the development of the technopark, he emphasized the need to transform the IT park into a centre of competence in the field of IT and entrepreneurship.

“I am very excited. It is a great honor and responsibility to become the captain of such a powerful IT ship. I will try to justify the vote of confidence and bring the technopark to a fundamentally new level of development,” the new director of the IT Park shared.
