On February 1, the second stage of the IT-Champion contest for schoolchildren and their parents started in Tatarstan. The main task of the young participants of the contest is to involve parents and adults in the active use of e-services on the Portal of State Services of the republic and get the maximum number of reward points. The contest, held by the Ministry of Informatization and Communication of the republic together with the Ministry of Education and Science of the republic is aimed at developing digital skills of schoolchildren and improve computer literacy of the population.
Over 100,000 participants took part in the first stage of the IT champion contest, ended in November last year. Children taught parents and other adult relatives how to get services on the Portal of State Services of the republic and then earned points for each transaction made on the Portal.
Sabinsky region became the most active region of the republic, where 80 per cent of all schoolchildren took part in the contest.
