MTS builds the first NB-IoT network for the Internet of things in the cities of Tatarstan
MTS telecommunication company informed that the construction of the first network for services and devices of the Internet of things in the LTE standard based on NB-IoT (Narrow Band IoT) finished in Tatarstan. The NB-IoT network is launched in Kazan, Innopolis, Arsk, Almetyevsk.
The network based on the NB-IoT technology will provide fast and secure connection of smart devices and help Tatarstan business to significantly reduce costs in the implementation of the Internet of things into production. Solutions based on NB-IoT are demanded in such areas as transport, energy, agrobusiness, consumption of energy resources control in housing and utilities, retail, medicine, smart home, monitoring systems and management of "smart city", security of objects. The new infrastructure is aimed at ensuring to provide fast, affordable and safe connection, as well as the integration, management and maintenance of any devices.
