European Junior Olympiad in Informatics 2018 started in the University of Innopolis
As many as 80 participants from 21 countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, Finland, France, Croatia and Estonia will contest at the venue of the Russian IT-University during five days.
Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov, Director of the University of Innopolis Kirill Semenikhin, President of eJOI2018 Maner Kasimir welcomed the participants at the opening ceremony.
European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (eJOI) is a competition of programmers up to 15 years old, which is held according to the rules of the International Olympiad in Informatics. Each team is represented by 2 leaders and 4 schoolchildren, who are chosen according to the results of the national competitions.
