The work on the transfer of suspended communication lines and air-cable transitions to underground communications, aimed at improving the reliability of communications, ensuring the physical safety of wires, protecting information, improving the appearance of streets and, as a result, convenience of citizens of the republic is continued in Tatarstan.
The project on dismantling suspension communication lines, coordinated by the Ministry of Informatization and Communication of Tatarstan, was launched in the region in 2011, when the total length of the overhead communication lines was over 3,600 kilometres.
As many as nine cities with the total of 50,000 citizens are involved in the implementation of the project.
