The University of Innopolis and Gazprom Company to develop IT solutions for the Russian oil and gas industry

On May 25, on the sidelines of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of the Board of Gazprom Company signed a cooperation agreement.

The new agreement envisages development and expansion of the an ongoing project as part of implementation of innovation project on development and mathematical justification of high-precision computing methods for 1D and 3D geomechanical modeling work.

Under the agreement, it is planned to attract to participate in the project new domestic oil and gas companies interested in this development.

As part of the cooperation, at the University of Innopolis domestic software solutions will developed that will replace the foreign analogues used.
