Regions of Volga federal district to create infrastructure of universal electronic card usage

9 of 14 regions of Volga federal district have agreed to join the Memorandum on creating interregional authorized organization for the purpose of joint realization of the project “universal electronic card”. This initiative of Tatarstan and preparation for issuing universal electronic cards to citizens and creating infrastructure of its usage in regions have been discussed today at session of District coordination board on development of information society in Volga federal district.
The session was held in format of video conference with participation of Chief federal inspector on RT Marsel Galimardanov, Vice-premier – minister of info and communications Nikolay Nikiforov, and officials of district subjects.
We remind that in the course of Investment forum in Sochi memorandum was signed by Tatarstan Republic, Perm region, and Bashkortostan Republic where 10,5 mln. people – 35 % of Volga federal district population live. In the nearest time the following regions will join memorandum – Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Saratov regions, Republic of Mordovia, Udmurt and Chuvash republics. Other regions are also considering partnership with Tatarstan on this issue.
Representatives of Volga federal district subjects which have signed memorandum will enter a working group that will offer an optimal legal organizational form of new interregional authorized organization.
In the course of interaction regions will be able to adopt advanced practices of each other, define unified tools of adopting universal electronic card and reduce terms of project realization and budget expenses.
