MTS RED, a cybersecurity subsidiary of the MTS ecosystem, has conducted research on phishing emails. The survey revealed that in the first half of 2023, residents of the Volga region most often faced with this type of cyber fraud and received suspicious mailings 1-2 times a month or more often.

Phishing is a type of Internet fraud in which attackers send mass emails or messages in messengers containing malicious attachments or links. The most common mailing is from the name of well-known brands or government agencies.

On July 25, the remote admission of applications to universities for state-funded places ended. In total this year, applicants submitted 2.8 million applications, Russian Ministry of Digital Development reported. The stable signal and Internet at an average speed of 20 Mbps will help residents of settlements stay connected and use the necessary digital services. About 1.5 thousand people live in settlements with a 300-year history.
