On January 15 Head of Federal space agency Oleg Stepanenko visited Kazan IT park to learn about projects being implemented at Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny IT parks.
On January 15 at their meeting in Kazan Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of Federal Space Agency Oleg Ostapenko discussed issues of further cooperation in the sphere of space technologies and implementation of new technologies.

The Olympic Torch arrived in Kazan on December 30. It was then brought to Bolgar and Sviyazhsk. On December 31 Russian Minister of Communication and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov was the first torch bearer at Universiade Village.

A meeting with heads of information and communication enterprises was held at IT park on December 30. The gross income in the industry made 46.2 bln rubles, the share of the industry in GRP made 3.15 per cent. Investments of enterprises in the industry made 15.7 bln rubles. A great part of this amount was allocated for Innopolis project.

Super final of the regional contest “SOLO” was held on December 25 in Kazan. The announced winners are Aglyamzyanova Venera (Kazan), Zainutdinova Elvira (Elabuga), and Mikhailov Aleksandr (Buinsk). Solemn presentation of awards was held at Kazan IT park on December 28.
Results of regional contest “IT champion” were summarized at Kazan IT park on December 28. Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov presented awards to the winners.
