A solemn ceremony of awarding employees of information and communications industry was held at Kazan IT-park today. On behalf of Russian President Roman Shaikhutdinov handed over medals “XXVII World summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan” to employees of the industry for merits in holding the students games.

IT-park announced the start of a big project, the 4th expedition in search for prospective projects in the sphere of high technologies “Startup Sabantui 2015”. Within the framework of this project startups will receive support of 5 investment funds.

On February 11, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov, President of OAO “Rostelekom” Sergey Kalugin and members of Tatarstan Government took part in an extended session of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications on results of work in 2014 and tasks for 2015 at IT-park.

Russian Minister of Communications and Mass Media Nikolay Nikiforov, Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin and President of OAO “Rostelekom” Sergey Kalugin will take part in the event.

Necessary infrastructure is being created in Innopolis. A post office of the Russian Post has opened at technopark named after Popov. Students and employees of Innopolis University will be the first to use services of the new post office.

Higher school of information systems and technologies and IBM will launch a joint educational programme for students for teaching the basis of implementation, functional capabilities, configuration tools and standard extensions of IBM Maximo.

A meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Roads on dispatching transport vehicles on intermunicipal routes was held on February 10. The meeting was held by Acting Head of the ministry Andrey Egorov.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) programme was developed by Innopolis University for children of 5-11 forms interested in technical studies. On open day everyone can get detailed information from teachers and pass tests. 50 children will have an opportunity to study for free.

On February 7, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting on realization of the capital repair programme. Acting Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the event. Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov made a report on changing overhead transmission lines for underground communications in Tatarstan.

Employees of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications took part in 33d All-Russia mass ski race “Russian ski track-2015”.
