On May 7 Deputy Prime Minister of the republic– Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov congratulated communication workers on their professional holiday - Radio Day.
On May 7, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic– Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov and Director of Radio and Television Broadcasting Center of the Republic of Tatarstan Vladimir Yakimov handed over awards to employees of the broadcasting center.
A monument to Communications Soldier was unveiled on the threshold of the 70th anniversary of Victory in WWII and Radio Day in Kazan. Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic– Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov, Director General of OAO “Tattelecom” Lutfulla Shafigullin, Deputy Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Rimma Ratnikova, and veterans took part in the event.
On May 7, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov held an extended meeting with heads of information and communications enterprises.
A meeting on realization of the second stage of work in social sphere in the system “Organization of rendering of services in social sphere in the Republic of Tatarstan” in accordance with the federal law №422 dated 28.12.2013 “On the basic principles of social services in Russian Federation” was held at Tatarstan Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection on May 6.
On May 6, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov visited Almetievsk region and launched free digital TV broadcasting.

Meeting with WWII veterans – workers of information and communications industry was held at Kazan school of information technologies on May 5. Participants of the event were met by an orchestra that played war songs. 400 people gathered at the event.
