In the century of digital technologies mobile communication has become an integral part of our life and is compared to the need for water or electricity. However, there are some contradictory opinions about mobile communication connected with radiation from mobile base stations.

High technology technopark “IT-park” opened in 2009. 157 companies are currently its residents.  

In 2014, the total receipts made 8.7 bln rubles. By results of the first half of 2015, it made 3.65 bln rubles.

Russia’s biggest business incubator with 60 startups is located in IT park. The total amount of investments attracted by startup projects for four years has made 550 mln rubles.

“I Hack, Therefore I Am” is the motto of jacobsHack hackathon 2015, the biggest international hackathon in Europe. 50 teams were working on their IT projects for 24 hours. The team of Dumitru Savva, a student of Innopolis University with students from India, Poland and Germany developed a prototype of a social game PlaceVentura.

From October 26, the order of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications dated as of 21.07.2015 N 259 “On approving the list of websites of information and communication network “Internet” and providing free access to these websites” will become effective.

Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov made a report at a session of Coordination Council for information security under Russian Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District.

A representative of Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications took part in a meeting on improving staff management of state authorities and local self-government at the Ministry of culture of the republic. The state information system of human resources of civil and municipal service of the Republic of Tatarstan was presented at the meeting.  

Russian Government and Ministry of Communications and Mass Media agreed on keeping tax benefits for IT companies.  The decision about prolonging the validity of preferential insurance payments will be made in the nearest time. The issue will be discussed at the meeting with Vice-premier Arkady Dvorkovich.

Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications informs that All-Russia subscription decade will be held in regional post offices on October 15-25.  The subscriber day will be held at Tandem shopping mall on October 22.

A new school that is intended to unite best practices of Russian and foreign education opened at Innopolis University in September. 35 pupils currently study there. The school is registered in the system “Electronic education in the Republic of Tatarstan”.

State information system “Public control” launched in November 2014 is very popular among Tatarstan citizens and helps to reduce traffic violations.
