Scholarships from IT enterprises were handed over to 21 students of the Interregional center of competences - Kazan technical school of information technologies and communications. A special commission has been considering contest projects of the candidates over a few months.

On October 1-2, with the official Russian delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of Russian Government Arkady Dvorkovich, Minister of Information and Communications of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov was on a working visit in Japan. The main purpose of the visit was participation in the annual Science and Technology in Society (STS) forum in Kyoto. STS forum is a place for open informal discussions that helps solving global problems by using science and technology.

The 2nd international festival “Radio without limits” opened in Kazan. More than 200 representatives of editorial and creative staff of Russian radio stations and countries of the near and far abroad are taking part in the event.

In particular, he told how children are protected from negative and illegal content in the system “Electronic education of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

On October 1-November 30, Russian Post will hold the campaign “Reading with post” aimed at supporting periodical press. Customers will receive gifts, a book of crosswords on buying newspapers and magazines for the sum of more than 100 roubles, and a book from the prize fund of the Russian Post on buying for the sum of more than 500 roubles.

Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov took part in the congress of IT directors “Moscow nights” that was held by the club of top managers 4CIO. The congress gathers hundreds of IT directors from different spheres every year.

17 676 modern laptops were delivered to educational institutions of Tatarstan by the beginning of new academic year. New laptops replaced old computers that were given in 2010-2011 to work in the system “Electronic education in the Republic of Tatarstan”.

On September 25, during the official visit of the Tatarstan delegation to Uzbekistan, memorandum on cooperation was signed between Tatarstan Ministry of Information and Communications and Uzbekistan Ministry of information technologies and communications. The document specifies spheres of potential cooperation in the sphere of ICT.
