The first device with facial recognition for issuing SIM-cards was launched in Innopolis in Tatarstan. Developers from the city of high technologies took part in its establishment.

The development of a regional segment of the Unified State Information System on Social Security is continuing in Tatarstan. Ministry of Informatization and Communication of the republic together with Tatarstan Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection and other departments carried out the work on preparation and loading the information about 1.9 million citizens of the republic - beneficiaries of social support measures into the system.

In the first half of 2018, Tatarstan citizen assessed the quality of the received medical services about 500,000 times on the Portal of the State Services of the republic or in the mobile application.

The Constitutional Court of Tatarstan holds a video contest dedicated to the Constitution of the republic. Works are accepted from July 16 to October 22, 2018. The contest is aimed at legal education of citizens and raising the legal culture of the population.

On August 2, speaking at the videoconference of the interdepartmental commission on the operating of the People's Control ssystem, at the Office of the Ombudsman for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic, Regional Minister of Informatization and Communication Roman Shaikhutdinov described a portrait of the average user of the “people's” system.
