On the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration, Information Technologies and Communications Ilya Nachvin and Deputy Director General of VympelCom Company Maksim Zaykov signed a cooperation agreement between Tatarstan Government and VympelCom, which has been expanded in terms of developing technologies based on artificial intelligence and big data analytics. It envisages continuing cooperation and the establishment of long-term interaction between the parties for the purpose of digital transformation of the region, ensuring the efficiency of economic sectors and the social sphere, including in the implementation of national projects in Tatarstan.
Russian IT companies can take part in the Sprint 2.0 accelerator free of charge. Over three months, programme graduates refine their products, establish systematic sales processes and gain the opportunity to secure major contracts.
Applications are accepted until June 10, 2026 (inclusive), with the programme scheduled to start in September. The organizers are the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF) with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. Since 2021, more than 640 companies have completed the accelerator. The programme is implemented under of the national project "Data Economy".
On 4 June, speaking at his meeting with Director General of the VK (Vkontakte) Company Vladimir Kirienko on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the VK is a strategic partner of the republic and the VK fest is held in Kazan for the second year in the row. This is a very popular event among young people, which attracted more than 20 thousand spectators last year. Tatarstan Minister of digitalization Ilya Nachvin also took part in the meeting.

The first speaker was a Director and Co-founder of the "Gromkie Ryby" agency and the author of viral videos for VK, Wildberries and HeadHunter Timur Ismaev. He revealed the secret of coming up with ideas that garner millions of views in just 50 minutes.
Timur Ismaev broke down the secrets of teamwork and explained how to transform brainstorming from chaos into a clear and efficient tool. Attendees learned how empathy and cognitive flexibility affect productivity and received practical advice on how much time to allocate to creative work to avoid burnout while enjoying the process.
Over two hours, guests not only learned many new things but also had time to play tennis, eat popcorn, understand the mechanisms of creativity and simply enjoy a warm summer evening.
On the sidelines of SPIEF-2026, Tatarstan Ministry of Digitalization and IT holding T1 signed a cooperation agreement, which is aimed at implementing projects in healthcare: T1's expertise, products and services helping to improve the quality and speed of medical care provided to residents of the region through the digitalization of healthcare facilities.

On June 3, the business programme of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2026) started, bringing together representatives of Russian and foreign businesses as well as government authorities, with the main theme of this year - "Pragmatic Dialogue – the Path to a Stable Future" and the business programme including over 150 sessions. Approximately 20,000 people from more than 100 countries are expected to participate in the forum.
Starting September 1, the International Competence Centre – the Kazan Technical College of Information Technologies and Communication will start training specialists in the field of "Integration of solutions using artificial intelligence technologies".
