Operators of the unified emergency number 112 received 68, 000 calls during New Year holidays. Most common reasons were ill health, breach of public order, and accidents.

Tatarstan citizens were actively using online state services and call center during New Year holidays. On December 31-January 1 306 messages were sent to Call center.

5th All-Russia IT Olympiad among pensioners will be held in Kazan in August 2015. Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin and Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council on social policy, Chairman of Russian Union of pensioners Valery Ryazansky, and CEO of the Center of Information Technologies of the Republic of Tatarstan Tatyana Kamaletdinova discussed organization of the event.

On January 13, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, Deputy Minister of Information and Communication of the republic Timur Zaripov said that a total of 69 per cent of complaints filed with the state information system Public Control were given the Complaint Resolved status in 2014.

In accordance with the article 1 of the Law of the Republic of Tatarstan dated as of 19.02.1992 № 1448-ХII “On holidays and commemorative dates of the Republic of Tatarstan”, the 1st, 2nd, and 7th of January 2015 are holidays. All post offices are not working on these days. On December 31 post offices will work according to the reduced work schedule. On January 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11 post offices will operate as usual.

OAO “Tattelekom” launched a 1000th LTE base station in Innopolis. “A new Russian city is provided with high-speed 4G mobile network. Residents of the future city will be using 30 Mb/s Internet. Development of such networks improves living standards and business climate," Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov said.
