Attention! New type of fraud

The Department for the Organization of Combating the Illegal Use of Information and Communication Technologies of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs warns about more frequent cases of fraud in Telegram, when attackers send viruses under the guise of photos.

Scammers send files with provocative signatures that can make you open them. However, be careful: such files may look like images, but have an APK extension. Remember that a “photo” cannot have an APK extension, and this is a clear sign of malicious software!

If you receive a suspicious message, do not open or download such files under any circumstances.
