By the holiday season, Tatarstan residents began more likely to buy video surveillance cameras and sensors for their homes

MTS, a digital ecosystem, analyzed the demand for video surveillance cameras in its own retail chain. In May, there was a peak interest in this category of goods: sales increased by 2.5 times in units compared to the same month in 2022. According to analysts, the main reason for the growth is the desire to secure their property during the summer holidays. Surveillance cameras are becoming more and more accessible to buyers.

Since the beginning of this year, the average price of the device has decreased by 15 per cent and by the end of May it makes 2,918 roubles.

At the same time, manufacturers are actively expanding the range of new solutions. For example, the Russian market has increased the number of wireless models operating without charging for up to six months, and cameras with artificial intelligence capable of recognizing faces, sending SMS and implementing other scenarios
