On May 13, Nizhny Novgorod hosted the final stage of the Youth Standards Olympiad, which brought together 34 participants from 18 regions of Russia. Students of International Competence Centre – the Kazan Technical College of Information Technologies and Communications Burtov Danil (group 222 P) and Gilyazova Latifa (group 120 P) represented the college. They gathered at the site of the Centre for the identification, support and development of abilities and talents of children and youth “Vega”, opened under the federal project "Success of every child" of the national project "Education", to pass the final tests.
Before the main part of the Olympiad, the head of Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology held an open lesson for the finalists and informed them about the history of standardization, the importance and role of standards in everyday life, as well as about the importance of the Russian Federation in international standardization and metrology. The students got answers to their questions in standardization and shared their vision of standards development in the country and worldwide.
Burtov Danil, a student of the technical college, showed creative approach to solving problems, creative thinking and also presented a topical project that allowed him to take the first place. He will represent Russia at the 18th International Youth Standards Olympiad in South Korea.
