World Blood Donor Day is celebrated around the world on June 14. On the evening of June 14, as a sign of solidarity and support for blood donation, the branch of Radio Television Broadcasting Centre of Tatarstan will turn on the scarlet illumination on the TV tower in Kazan.
The day is aimed at raising global awareness of the need for safe blood and blood transfusion products and the importance of free voluntary blood donation to save millions of human lives.
