On April 29, during his working visit to Tatarstan, Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko together with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Kazan Expo Exhibition Centre, where they got acquainted with the exhibits devoted to the key industries of the republic.
The exhibition is held in anticipation of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which will be held in Kazan on April 29-30. It features exhibitions showing Tatarstan’s achievements in the social sphere, the economy, agriculture, industry and information technologies. Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin informed the guests about the main digital projects.
He presented the innovative developments of Tatarstan and spoke about the main directions of the digital transformation of the republic: transfer of state services to e-form, development of super services for citizens, training of personnel for the digital economy.
The minister briefed about the programme of support and involvement of IT companies to Tatarstan "Kityk", which sets a reduced tax rate of one per cent.
He also presented projects in remote sensing of land that are currently being developed at the University of Innopolis. For example, the Forest Fund Monitoring Service, which analyses the state of the forest area of the republic, using satellite images.
At the end of the presentation, Khayrullin spoke about the priority areas of Tatarstan in working with IT companies, in particular, he focused on the activities of the Technopark in the sphere of high technologies «IT-park», which has 215 company-residents today, and total revenue amounted to 7.8 billion roubles at the end of last year.
