The audience of Wink video service quadrupled in 2020

Rostelecom Telecommunication Company summed up the development of video service: in 2020, Wink reached the rapid growth trajectory, expanding opportunities and audience The active audience grew four times due to new connections and the massive transition of Rostelecom's interactive television subscribers to the Wink platform (over 70 per cent of subscribers have already migrated).

The isolation of people at home because of the pandemic and the active position of the company during this period were the conditions for rapid growth. Wink was the first of the video services (on March 16, 2020) to open free access to a large collection of domestic and foreign films, TV series, cartoons and educational video content. At the same time, the demand for paid films and series has increased. As a result, the number of movies and TV series views (paid and free) has tripled since 2019.
