The project took second place in the economic category, losing only to the IKEA recycling furniture service.

The service of the Russian IT university is already used in Tatarstan and the Perm Territory, and one-time analytics was carried out at the pilot sites in the Republics of Buryatia and Karelia, in the Khabarovsk and Perm Territories, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Kirov and Irkutsk regions.

The service was developed under the Aeronet roadmap projects. Now the university provides monitoring of forest changes for all forest territories of Tatarstan under the state contract.

The Green Project of the Year Award is initiated by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC Russia). It is awarded for successful projects in the environmentally responsible, socially beneficial and economically viable forest management in the Russian Federation. This year, the best projects were chosen by a jury of 16 experts from non-profit organizations, research community, business and the media. They identified winners in three nominations from 88 projects from 61 organizations.

The service was developed by Innogeotech, a company created by Innopolis University together with the Russian Venture Company.
