Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization Ayrat Khayrullin congratulates postal workers on their professional holiday

12 July 2020, Sunday

On July 12, we celebrate a special day - Russian Post Day - a professional holiday for postal workers.

Today Tatarstan Pochtasy Company has 1,111 regional post offices, 29 mobile post offices and 20 automated terminals. As many as  8,256 people are devoted to their work in the postal service. Last year alone, over 83 million letters and parcels were received and delivered, and the total revenue exceeded 2.5 billion roubles. It is nice to see that the success of the postal industry is growing every year. Post organically combines the “physical” and “digital” worlds, constantly improving its service. Currently, post is being transformed from a traditional postal operator into a first-class postal and logistics company.

Today, people do not need to personally visit post offices to send letters and parcels, subscribe to print publications, make money transfers or pay for services - all this can be done in e-form.

However, one cannot think that digital processes can completely replace post: long-awaited letters and parcels in cardboard boxes, fresh newspapers and magazines smelling of printing ink is a joy we have known since childhood.

From the bottom of my heart I congratulate the postal workers on their professional holiday. Dear colleagues, you are the most important part of the postal mechanism. Due to your professionalism and dedication to work, thousands of people across the country, especially in rural areas, do not lose touch with each other. Often, you become not just a postman, but a friend with whom you can share good news or experiences.

I want to wish you not to know tiredness at work, love what you are doing and be always in a great mood. Thanks you!

Best regards,

Tatarstan Minister of Digitalization of Public Administration,

Information Technologies and Communications Ayrat Khayrullin
