On August 3, at a meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov informed that the number of published messages in “Public control” system has considerably increased for the first half of 2016 (by 49 per cent). The share of resolved requests has increased by 2 per cent in comparison with the same period of 2015. The number of motivated refusals has increased by 2 per cent.

Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov held a meeting on training of IT specialists at regional educational organizations.  

The meeting was held at the Government House with participation of Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov, and rectors of Tatarstan universities.

A meeting on preparation for International Olympiad in Informatics 2016 with participation of representatives of Kazan Federal University, Innopolis University, Ministry of Education and Science, Volga Academy of physical culture, sport and tourism was held on August 2.

Official opening of the event was held with the participation of Acting Tatarstan President – Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov. This year the team of IT-park together with investors and experts visited 6 Russian cities (Perm, Ufa, Krasnoyarsk, Chelyabinsk, Izhevsk, and St. Petersburg). Best mentors of RIS Ventures supported participants of accelerator Sabantuy Ceo Camp. 21 of 30 projects have proved its sustainability.

Stamp cancellation campaign dedicated to FIFA World Cup 2018 will be held at post office № 420000 at 8, Kremlevskaya st. today.

The event is dedicated to postal products “Russia in Football World Cups”. Postal stamps of FIFA World Cup 1990 and 2014 will be depicted on the stamps.

Ministry of Information and Communications informs about planned maintenance works will be carried out in Naberezhnye Chelny and Leninogorsk on August 1-4 from 9.15 till 17.00.

The final of Startup-Sabantui will be held at Naberezhnye Chelny IT-park on July 30. It is expected that 30 investors will come to assess perspective startups. This year startups will be able to attract up to 10 mln dollars.

International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) is an annual competition in informatics among school children. IOI was held for the first time in 1989 in Bulgaria. Kazan won the right to host XXVIII International Olympiad in Informatics in the competitions with Japan and Azerbaijan.

The problem of “digital gap” which consists in the lack of access to modern telecommunication services is being solved in Russia.

“Digital gap” is a common problem for citizens of underpopulated rural areas and remote regions.
