On April 7, the birthday of RuNet, is an important date for its users. The domain – .Ru was registered in Russia on April 7, 1994. The agreement about administration of .RU zone was signed at a meeting of major Russian Internet providers (Demos Plus, Techno, GlasNet, SovAm Teleport, EUnet/Relcom, X-Atom, FREEnet) on December 4, 1993.
