MTS, a digital ecosystem, has expanded LTE coverage on a seventy-kilometer section of the M-12 federal highway and in settlements adjacent to the road near the western border of the republic. The operator built new base stations here and installed additional telecom equipment. As a result of the work carried out, the speed of mobile Internet for car users and residents of nearby villages increased by 30 per cent.

MTS speeded up the Internet in the Kaybitsky, Apastovsky and Verkhneuslonsky regions of the republic, through which the new M-12 highway in the west of the republic passes. The work on modernization and renewal of the network affected the adjacent settlements and the 70 km section of the road from the border of Chuvashia to the junction M-12 with R-241 near the village of Korguza.

Every day, thousands of passing drivers use voice communications and mobile Internet here. For example, since the opening of M-12 two months ago, it has already recorded more than 3 million passages.

Expanding LTE coverage and strengthening voice communications on highways will help Tatarstan residents and car users passing through the region stay connected on the road, use online maps to build a more accurate and safe route, pay for purchases at gas stations, make transactions in online banking, register online buy tickets for events, as well as use other familiar digital services.
